The Oconee Leader ran a very gracious article on Christ Community Church where I pastor last week. It captured our desire to be a community within the community, an alternative city within the city where people are able to see what life with Jesus should look like - a people who are committed to making much of Jesus by seeking the good of our entire community.
One statement that I made in the article sounded funny though - I said that our desire was to connect with 18-35 year old men and see them take ownership in what we were doing as a church. When I read the article, I felt like it needed more clarity and because I think it's an issue in the church at-large, I wrote my monthly article for The Leader on this topic. I've posted it below the break.
