4. In which spiritual discipline do you most want to make progress this year, and what will you do about it?
The easy answer is prayer because I join everyone in the world at being not very good at it. I will say that the last two months or so has seen God do some shaping in me about our corporate need as God's people to come to the end of ourselves and pray for the work of the Spirit in our midst, to confess our disconnect when it comes to making much of God and building his kingdom, to pleading with God to be faithful to his promises and build up a people who join him in his work of redemption and renewal. I'm very thankful for that and find those times to be when I'm most content and happy because those are the times in which it's most evident that I bring nothing to the table and God provides everything that I and those around me need.
But for me, I'm hoping to better retain what I read this year, whether that's in the Scriptures or other literature. I read quickly, but I don't think I read very deeply.
